About

Michael Honsue Cho has spent more than two decades developing next-generation photodynamic therapy, a light-activated approach to treating cancer, and is a named inventor on the patents behind it. He is Founder and Chairman of RMW Cho Group, the Australian biotechnology company that owns and licenses the technology.

He started in computers. In 1988 he founded his first technology business, assembling and selling systems to home users, small businesses and enterprise clients across financial services, pharmaceuticals and energy. It grew into services, programming, web development and data centre operations, including building one of Melbourne's early data centres. That business made his first fortune.

In 2003 he was shown a cancer technology by people who understood it far better than he did. He had no medical background. He invested anyway, and what began as a position to monitor became the work he has driven ever since. He was laughed out of meetings for years. The findings looked too good to be true.

Today the programme he built runs alongside the Hudson Institute of Medical Research under a formal research and development alliance, the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Monash University, with the technology licensed to ASX-listed Invion Limited. He has contributed to the development of over 500 compounds, holds patent families across major markets, and is a named co-author on the 2026 paper identifying phyllochlorin sodium in Photochemical and Photobiological Sciences. A Phase II prostate cancer trial has been completed. The programme holds US FDA Orphan Drug Designation for anogenital cancer.

Beyond the laboratory he is Founder and Chairman of Dolphin AI, owner of Melbourne dining venues Amazon State and Kaida Little Dragon, and lead investor in Ink Nurse. He is Chief Executive and a major shareholder of AiC Enterprises, which operates AppleiCasino under a joint venture with AppleiSports, listed on the OTCQB. He vended the Omeo Gold Project into ASX-listed Rokeby Resources in 2026. He chaired A Night of Heartfelt Love, raising $200,000 for Box Hill Hospital.

Twenty-three years after he was shown something he had no business understanding, his name is on the science.
